Founder Speaks Interview: How Being a Phase 1 Beauty Pro Set Me Up for Success

Founder Speaks:

Q: How did being a Phase 1 Beauty Pro change my career path as a now Entrepreneur?

Founder Answers:

"First, I'd like to share what a Phase 1 Beauty Pro is.. this is someone who is new to the beauty industry and still finding their groove as an artist. They're usually in school or need to complete an esthetics or cos program. As Phase 1 Beauty Pro, I was able to gain valuable skills and knowledge in lash technology that ultimately led me to become an entrepreneur. The training

and certifications I received allowed me to confidently start my own business as a lash artist, which eventually expanded into offering other services as well.

Being a lash artist not only provided me with financial stability, but it also allowed me to have a flexible schedule and the freedom to pursue my other passions. This has been crucial in maintaining a healthy work-life balance for me.

As I built my clientele and established meaningful connections with them, I was able to understand their needs and preferences better. This insight helped me in expanding my services and creating customized experiences for my clients, which ultimately led to even more success in my business."

Pushing the Boundaries of Lash Artistry

"One of the most exciting aspects of being a lash technician is the ability to push the boundaries and constantly innovate in your craft. With new techniques, products, and styles emerging all the time, there is always room for creativity and experimentation.

Whether it's trying out different lash mapping techniques or incorporating unique materials into your lash sets, being a Phase 1 Beauty Pro gives you the opportunity to constantly challenge yourself and stay ahead of the game in the beauty industry."

Building Trust and Loyalty with Clients

"As mentioned earlier, being a lash technician means becoming a trusted beauty confidant for many clients. This goes beyond just providing quality services but also includes building genuine connections with them.

As I continued to build my business, I realized the importance of nurturing these relationships with clients. This not only resulted in loyal customers but also created a positive word-of-mouth reputation for my business and other endeavors I have. I have so much support even from my clients who are no longer getting serviced by me. That's what it's about, Building community is heavily wrapped in my why.

Having strong relationships and trust with clients is crucial for any entrepreneur, as it leads to repeat business and referrals, which are essential for long-term success."

Continuous Learning and Growth

"Being a Phase 1 Beauty Pro also means being committed to continuous learning and growth in your field. The beauty industry is constantly evolving, and as a lash technician, it's important to stay updated on the latest techniques, products, and trends.

Attending workshops, and conferences, and networking with other beauty professionals are great ways to expand your knowledge and skills. It also allows you to stay ahead of the curve and offer your clients the best possible services."

How can you successfully develop from being a Phase 1 Beauty Pro into a Phase 3 Beauty Business Owner?

"To become a successful Phase 3 Beauty Business Owner, it's crucial to have a strong foundation in Phases 1 and 2. This includes building a loyal client base, mastering your skills as a lash technician, and continuously learning and growing in your field.

It's important to develop business management skills such as marketing, financial management, and customer service. These skills will help you run a successful beauty business, attract new clients, and maintain repeat business for years to come, and the great thing about all of the ways you develop, you're actually able to transfer these skills into other realms of business. I would like to add that you don't have to master ALL of those skills but it would be wise to have an understanding of them in order for you to know what to look for when building your team which should ultimately be your goal. Building a sustainable company that you can actually see profiting without you slaving day in and day out behind a chair or standing up 24/7 doing services. I actually started tapping into other creative industries because I've learned so much and it doesn't feel like work to me.

Networking with other beauty professionals is also beneficial for developing into a Phase 3 Beauty Business Owner. Building relationships with makeup artists, hair stylists, and other beauty experts can lead to partnerships and cross-promotion opportunities that can greatly benefit your business. These are real things I do every day and have been doing this over and over again. It hasn't failed me and I'm confident it won't fail you if executed correctly."
